Lahore: A mother from Lahore apparently angry on load-shedding and constant ups and downs in belongings of TV anchors, lashes out at Geo TV over rehiring famous host Dr. Amir Liaquat Hussain.

Uploaded by her son, the video has so far been viewed over 28,000 people with hundreds of comments on it.

Her son named Momin Ali says “For the past few days my mother has been so angry at GEO and Shahbaz Sharrif and constantly complaining to me about this. I, in good humour said ” make a video and put it on youtube, lets see who agrees with you” and well she just got serious!!!”

Karachi: Hajj and Umrah Pilgrims traveling from Pakistan to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be given a free mobile SIM from Mobily a Saudi mobile phone company under sponsorship from Hajeej- Aroma group, to stay connected with loved ones.

The Pilgrims can now concentrate on performing their religious duties instead of wasting time in markets to acquire mobile phone SIM besides their relatives back home will also be satisfied having the pilgrims’ local mobile number during the stay in the holy land.

Pir Mazharul Haq Senior Minister Govt of Sindh while speaking on the SIM distribution ceremony said that Government was striving to facilitate Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and appreciates the private sector to bring such projects to help Govt achieve this task.

“Tt will facilitate Hujjaj and Umrah pilgrims in big way as they will be connected with their relatives right from the beginning of the journey for Hajj or Umrah,” he added.

The minister urged other sectors to come forward and play their role in their capacity to better serve the pilgrims.

He tweeted he would begin shooting a new promo in a day or two.

Luqman told Pakistan Today that he was joining ARY TV network and would soon be hosting a show on the channel. “I’m joining ARY after resolving my issues amicably with Dunya News,” he said.

Luqman had to resign from Dunya TV after the infamous ‘planted’ interview of real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, hosted by him and co-host Mehar Bukhari.

Earlier on June 18, Luqman said on Twitter that he would resume his career on Dunya TV and would answer all the allegations levelled against him. But he did not do so, and instead chose YouTube as a medium to justify his position.

He claimed that the video leak was a conspiracy against Dunya TV, as the channel was dominating its competitors.

He said he resigned from Dunya TV on his own will as the channel was under pressure because of him.

Karachi: With trend of working in commercial ads increasingly affecting performance of cricketers, Shahid Afridi tops the list by generating Rs. 100 million from modeling assignments.

A report from NCA Lahore says that seven players of Pakistan team have signed contracts for modeling earning them millions every month.

Former skipper and dangerous striker Boom Boom Afridi also booms in generating money from multinational firms and local firms as compared to his teammates.
