US
internet users watched over a record 10 billion video ads in May, for
the second consecutive month, according to the latest comScore Video
Metrix report.
May marks the first time that video ads passed 10 billion views. In April, up to 9.5 billion ads were watched.
Hulu and Google combined to deliver
about three billion of those video ads and were the top two ad
properties for the month in terms of count.
As for general videos, more than 180
million U.S. internet users watched videos online in May, comScore says.
About 36.6 billion videos were watched, with Google/YouTube accounting
for almost half of that total — 17.6 billion videos.
